Principals' choice artwork goes on display at Bletchley Campus

The School of Arts Summer Showcase at Milton Keynes College in June is always a highlight of the year. It involves an intense run up period and long hours that culminate in a strong, vibrant and diverse exhibition from our talented students. In 2019 the exhibition was held in MK Gallery which was a wonderful opportunity for our graduating students. For the 2020 show, there were no nails, hammers, velcro strips or white paint to create our exhibition. It was an entirely different journey in curating. With a move to remote learning, a virtual platform was created to showcase the wonderful work of our students. Viewing our students work on this platform inspired us as a department to take this forward and run a virtual show alongside our tangible exhibition in the future.

Over the last few years our exhibition has featured work from graduating students; those being second year level three students, and higher education students. As we planned our digital exhibition this year we were able to open this out and offer the opportunity to exhibit to those who would normally only share work in an internal college setting. Therefore, we had two virtual galleries from the School of Arts & Media.

Every year during our exhibition we have a range of artwork that has been selected for special recognition by three leading members of Milton Keynes College, known as the Principals’ Choice accolade. Now to follow on from the digital exhibition on display in the 'Atrium Gallery' onsite at Bletchley College campus is the artwork that was chosen by:
